Why Catalyst Webworks?

Every web developer or design firm has a different approach to developing a web site. The truth is—that’s ok. There’s more than one way to build a web site.

But after years of working with the tools the web has to offer, seeing trends come and go, and watching clients struggle to keep site content current, we’ve developed a process and a set of packages that create high-performing, low-maintenance web sites.

We are full-time, full-service web development company committed to the long-term satisfaction of our clients.

Here are some of the ways in which Catalyst Webworks offers value to our clients:

EXPERTISE & DIRECTION

Every client comes to us with wishes for their future site, but often with a sense of confusion about what’s involved with designing and building a web site. Our work follows a clear production process from concept through to construction. We begin by meeting with the client and setting goals, timeline, and expectations for the project. Our comprehensive agreement lays out our process, production schedule, and costs at the outset—giving the client a complete understanding of the process. We explain what is included in each production, and—equally importantly—what is not.

Catalyst Webworks offers distinctive custom design coupled with a powerful—and open-source—content management system.

DESIGN

Generally speaking, web site owners have long had to choose between form and function—sites were either elegant works of art, which were difficult and time-consuming to change; or they were easy to update—at the cost of their appearance.

Catalyst Webworks offers distinctive custom design coupled with a powerful—and open-source—content management system, or “CMS.” While generic site templates are widely available to users of CMS systems like WordPress, Joomla & Drupal, truly customized design for open-source CMS systems is still rare. We are tailoring each site’s appearance, content layout, and functionality to the client’s needs, and delivering a product which they can manage entirely on their own.

All of our web development packages include 6 hours of training on the content management system as well as a written manual, customized to the client’s site.

TRAINING

While we’ve found the WordPress content management system to be the most powerful and user-friendly system available, it is still a new piece of software for our clients to learn. All of our web development packages include 6 hours of training on the content management system as well as a written manual, customized to the client’s site. We make sure that our clients, and the folks on their staff, are ready to take over ownership post-launch.

SUPPORT & STABILITY

The web development community at-large is thick with students & freelancers who build websites and then—for a variety of reasons—become unavailable to their clients. We are full-time, full-service web development company committed to the long-term satisfaction of our clients. We offer our clients a variety of high-quality, long-term support plans to make sure their sites remain up-to-date and effective.

VALUE

We are proud to offer our clients a product that is effective, unique, easy-to-update, and stable. We believe that our process, our products, and our long-term service offer the client value at every step of production.

chickenvideoI made this video a little over a year ago with help from two friends of mine—one luckier than the other. At the time I thought that the Catalyst Webworks web site was just a few weeks away...*cough*...and that this video would be a great element for the front page.
